Azile Limited Carbon Reduction Policy and Procedure
Commitment to Net Zero
Azile Limited is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, in line with UK Government policy. We recognise our responsibility as an employment business and recruitment agency to minimise our environmental impact while continuing to deliver safe, effective and compliant workforce solutions.
Our approach to carbon reduction is proportionate to the size and nature of our organisation and is embedded into our governance, workforce planning and operational decision-making.
Organisational Profile and Scope
Azile Limited is a UK-based employment business and recruitment agency providing temporary, contract and permanent workforce solutions.
The Company operates with:
- One administrative office
- A blended model of office-based and remote working for administrative functions
- Workforce supply and recruitment activities delivered across client sites
Due to the nature of our operations, the majority of our environmental impact relates to staff travel, office energy use, digital systems, and procurement activities rather than large-scale premises or industrial processes.
Emissions Reporting
Azile Limited will report emissions annually in line with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, covering Scopes 1, 2 and 3.
- Baseline period: 1 April 2026 – 31 March 2027
- First subsequent reporting period: 1 April 2027 – 31 March 2028
Scope 1 (Direct emissions)
Includes fuel used for any company-owned or reimbursed business travel where applicable. As a small organisation, this is limited.
Scope 2 (Indirect emissions from energy)
Includes electricity and heating used within our office base.
Scope 3 (Indirect emissions)
Includes staff commuting, recruitment-related travel, remote working energy use, digital systems, procurement of goods and services, and waste.
Given the size and nature of the organisation, emissions are calculated using recognised carbon estimation tools and available utility data, reviewed annually on a proportionate basis.
Environmental Management Measures During Contract Delivery
When delivering recruitment and workforce services, Azile Limited applies the following measures to reduce carbon impact:
Digital and paper-light working
Recruitment records, compliance documentation, onboarding processes, and workforce management systems are maintained digitally wherever possible. This reduces paper use and storage requirements.
Remote and flexible working
Administrative staff routinely work remotely, with meetings, interviews, training, and compliance activities conducted online where appropriate. This reduces commuting-related emissions.
Workforce placement travel
Where practicable, workers are assigned to client locations that reduce unnecessary travel distances. Rotas and placements are planned with consideration of travel efficiency and sustainability where operationally feasible. Staff are encouraged to use public transport, walking, or shared travel where appropriate.
Energy efficiency
Energy use within the office is minimised through LED lighting, controlled heating, equipment shutdown practices, and use of energy-efficient devices. Renewable energy suppliers are used where reasonably available.
Procurement and supply chain
Where possible, Azile Limited selects digital platforms, suppliers and services that demonstrate environmental responsibility and reduced environmental impact.
IT, Data and Business Continuity
Azile Limited maintains secure cloud-based systems, supporting efficient digital operations and reducing reliance on physical infrastructure. This contributes to lower energy consumption compared to on-site server systems.
Data is backed up securely, supporting both operational resilience and efficiency. Contingency arrangements remain in place to ensure continuity of recruitment and workforce supply services if systems are temporarily unavailable.
Monitoring and Continuous Improvement
Progress against carbon reduction actions is reviewed annually through internal governance processes. Actions are updated in line with business growth and operational change.
Monitoring is proportionate and includes:
- Review of staff travel patterns
- Office energy usage
- Digital process efficiency and paper reduction
- Opportunities for further emissions reduction within recruitment operations
